Brandon & Emily faced a rare Adrenal Cancer

In 2021, Brandon was diagnosed with adrenal cancer. This rare cancer starts in one or both of the small, triangular adrenal glands on top of your kidneys. These glands produce hormones that give instructions to nearly every organ and tissue in your body.

Brandon's treatment was very tough. He had surgery to remove a 6-inch mass, followed by chemotherapy and radiation for about 18 months.

During his treatment, friends and family from afar wanted to help but didn’t know how. Phone calls with the same questions were exhausting and kept them all in a constant state of worry. A special quilt with messages embroidered from friends and family became a comforting reminder to Brandon and his wife, Emily, that they were not alone and that many people cared about them during this journey.

With the incredible support of his wife, Emily, his friends, family, workplace, and their many prayers, Brandon was able to beat this rare cancer. He continues to be cancer-free years after the initial diagnosis.
